The TELL Centre at The University of Western Australia (UWA) provides leadership in the area of clinical supervisor support training and collaborates with all disciplines across all levels of training in Australia and overseas.
Rather than investing in developing and administering a similar program within your organisation, you can purchase our award winning program which already has an established national and international network of users.
Teaching on the Run (TOTR) started over 10 years ago and remains a popular and versatile professional development program. It includes a suite of workshops for improving the skills of health professionals involved in clinical teaching, supervision and assessment.
The programs are delivered as either standard format workshops (3-3.5 hours’ duration per face-to-face workshop) or in a blended learning format (online preparation ¾-1 hour and a 1-2-hour face-to-face workshop).
All workshops are suitable for uni-professional and multi-disciplinary groups across a range of settings (ie community, private, public, rural and remote) and for participants with varying levels of experience.
Facilitator Training Program
The 2-day Facilitator Training Program (FTP) covers the core concepts of facilitation and familiarises participants with the six foundation TOTR workshops to enable them to run these in both standard and blended format.
At the end of the 2-day program participants are accredited to deliver the program in their own workplace, with all supporting resources provided. This approach ensures the maintenance of quality and consistency in delivery.

Community of Practice
Our workshop participants often tell us how much they’ve enjoyed discussing teaching and learning issues with their peers.
To support this, we provide an online community where health professionals can engage in ongoing discussion and sharing of resources that support clinical teaching.
